Go Greener in East Renfrewshire

We live in a different world and a frightening one. Climate Change is definitely a fact. Some may and do maintain that it is a natural phenomenon which humankind has no responsibility for. Noted. 

All I know is that we are running out of places to put our rubbish, running out of oil, gas and rain forest. These may be coincident on the rise in global temperatures but to just carry on as we have been doing is not something I’m prepared to do.

As a responsible citizen I believe that we have taken Planet Earth for granted for far too long and now Planet Earth has just about had enough of us! She’s revolting (in a manner of speaking) and we will all suffer for it. We need to call a halt to the wonton destruction and become conservers not destroyers of the natural environment.

Right, down to business! What is ‘Go Greener’? ‘Go Greener’ is the East Renfrewshire Climate Change Partnership. Need more info? Ok. We are an independent organisation with the aim of being the environmental conscience of all East Renfrewshire residents, encouraging them to recycle, compost and become energy efficient. We want people to do this but we’re prepared to prompt them to do so on the doorstep. We’re looking for ‘Eco warriors’ of all ages and from all areas. We are a campaigning outfit which whilst small at the moment has the potential to be huge.

‘Go Greener’ will be involved in all sorts of initiatives including alternative energy. We are replying to the Climate Change Bill and Microgeneration Consultation. We are going to be a force to be reckoned with – and we have a great website! So residents of East Renfrewshire, come on what are you waiting for?
